About ELVORA

Elegance Is a Decision, Made Repeatedly.

ELVORA started in 2021 above a fabric market in Bhuleshwar, Mumbai — two rooms, one tailor, and a conviction that everyday ethnic wear was being rushed.

Our founder, Meher Vora, grew up watching her grandmother's Chanderi saris get re-hemmed and passed down for three decades without losing their shape. That's the standard we design against — not "wear it once," but "wear it for a decade." Every ELVORA piece is cut in runs of 30 to 60, which means we sell out of sizes quickly and restock slowly. We'd rather do that than dilute the fit for volume.

We work directly with three weaving clusters — Chanderi for silk cottons, Maheshwar for the Aranya suit sets, and Bhagalpur for raw tussar — instead of buying finished fabric off a wholesale floor. It costs more and takes longer, but it means we can trace almost every metre of cloth we cut back to the loom it came from.
